Welcome

We are thrilled to be back for another incredible year of TIBC, the 10th Tokyo International Bellydance Competition! And we’re equally excited as well as honored to announce that this year, TIBC, in partnership with the Japan Bellydance Festival, will be presenting you all with an unforgettable 3-day dance-packed event!

(Online Video) Star Judges

SONIA OCHOA , HENNA, ESHE

We are ecstatic to have Sonia Ochoa (USA), Henna (USA), and Eshe (Canada), as our “Online Star Judges”, who will be viewing all the preliminary rounds/video submissions, and choosing this year’s finalists! The finals judging panel will then be comprised of Japan’s very respected and sought after teacher/artists; Mayady, Momoi, E-Chan, together with the founding members of the Japan Bellydance Association; Izumi, Aoki Kayou, and Huleya.

"LIVE" Drum Solo 

 NEW!!!

In addition to the 10 existing categories, a brand new division has been added! The “LIVE” Drum Solo Category, where both aspiring drummers and dancers can participate in the competition together.  Joining the group of judges in the finals for this category are distinguished and renowned drummers, Petashi, Abdallah and TAKSEEMA.

To top the news, some very special prizes, from this year’s TIBC gift sponsor, will be presented to the 1st Place Winners of the Professional Oriental Categories. Stay tuned for more details coming very soon! 

As always, as part of TIBC, there will be a bazaar of costumes, dance wear, accessories and more, that will be open all day where the audience members can shop, mingle, and vote for their favorite performance in each category, as the “People’s Choice”!

 

 

TIBC is one of the longest running bellydance competitions in the whole of Japan. We are truly grateful and proud to continuously present this amazing event to the bellydance community. We invite all you wonderful dancers, both local and international, as well as all dance fans and the public, to partake in this fantastic event! We can’t wait to discover new, rising, talented dancers from all around the globe, and we look forward to meeting even more friends, as well as seeing old ones again!
